Highway Historic Route 66

A popular stop between Cool Springs and Sitgreaves Pass is Shaffer Spring, or "Fish Bowl Spring", created in the 1930s by a man working with the WPA. It is a basin of stones built to collect spring water, for both humans and animals, and is located near mile marker 30.
